by Thomas M. Sipos, managing editor. [February 18, 2005]
[HollywoodInvestigator.com] Winning films from the Hollywood Investigator Halloween Horror Film Awards will be screened at the 2005 World Horror Convention in April 2005, in New York City. The World Horror Con runs from April 7 to 10, though the exact day and time of the screening is yet to scheduled. Screenings will include the features Vlad and Skinwalker: Curse of the Shaman, the shorts Stiffs by Sid and Jeremy's Wake-Up Call, and the Pitbull Daycare music video, "You Make Me Feel So Dead". A panel discussion will follow.
Stiffs by Sid director Rick Lavon will attend the screening and participate in an audience Q&A. Lavon was also associate producer and editor on the feature film, Vampire Lesbian Kickboxers.
In November 2004, Vlad's representative, Jamie Thompson, informed the Investigator that director Michael D. Sellers "would possibly be interested in attending and we could contact a couple of the actors to see if they would be interested also." However, Sellers attendance is unconfirmed at this time.
Sellers's newest film, Deadly, will be opening in April 2005.
"You Make Me Feel So Dead" director Paul Hough will provide the Investigator with ten free DVDs of his horror music video -- which the Investigator will randomly distribute to lucky fans who attend the screening!
Both Sellers and Hough are graduates of NYU's film school.
Here's the screening schedule.
